Call for Papers
The Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and the Centre Interuniversitaire sur le Risque, les Politiques Économiques
et l'Emploi (CIRPÉE) will host a joint CIRPÉE-BREAD conference on
February 22nd-23rd, 2008 at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
You are invited to submit a paper for the conference. Please submit
your paper via email to Bread.conf@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is December 1st, 2007.
NOTE: This is a one-time opportunity to hold an additional conference over
and above the annual Fall and Spring BREAD conferences. As previously
announced, the BREAD Spring conference will be at Brown University on May
1st and 2nd, 2008. The call for papers for Brown BREAD will be distributed
in January 2008.
All papers presented at the conference will be selected through this open
submissions process. To leave ample time for discussion only a small number
of papers will be selected for this one-and-a-half day conference and there
will be no parallel sessions. Besides the presenters, the conference will be
able to support travel expenses for a limited number of Senior Bread members
on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Papers will be selected by Dean Karlan (Yale), Michael Kremer (Harvard), and
Joost de Laat (UQAM).
For inquiries about registration, travel and accommodation, please contact
Josée Parenteau. Email: parenteau.josee@uqam.ca. Phone: (514) 987-6181.
