This database was created as a quick search tool for census datasets and other documented population surveys. The user may conduct his search by following the directions in the lefthand frame and then selecting the desired search criteria.

There are currently over 500 different datasets listed on this website, which isn't nearly the number of surveys ever conducted. If you found one or more that were omitted, please contact us and it will be added promptly.

In addition to the datasets enumerated on this website, there are a number of other websites online that are useful resources for locating similar datasets. They provide links to studies that are in large part recorded on this website, but that might have been omitted.

1. Blank fields or fields containing "NA" indicate missing information. You may be able to find additional details by following the corresponding hyperlink to the provider's website.
2. The search engine lets you search by fairly detailed categories. If you are looking for a particular survey by entering its exact search parameters, and it doesn't turn up, try making a broader search (i.e., search by region and country only) to see if the survey you're looking for is listed in the database. If you still can't find it, please contact us so that it can be added.
